Research shows that missing 10 percent of the school year, or about 18 days in most school districts, negatively affects a student’s academic performance. In fact, poor attendance can influence whether a child can read proficiently by the end of 3rd grade! (source: attendanceworks.org) If you are experiencing any barriers to your student's attendance at school, please do not hesitate to contact me. Your child's education is a continuous partnership, and I am here to help! Hoping you all have a relaxing and well-deserved summer break! If you need anything over the summer, please feel free to send me an email, or call and leave a voicemail! I will be checking both periodically!

It might look a little scary, but it is for their protection and yours! Here is a video from our school nurse, Mrs. Bender, on what it means for nurses to wear PPE! :)
